Pictures do not do this home justice, the house was beyond beautiful. We were visiting for Texas State family weekend my Daughter did not want to buy tickets to family weekend, just wanted to hang out. This house was so perfect for good family time. We had 9 people in the house, with plenty of room. Beds downstairs were great, however, the loft beds were not as comfy but okay. The outside areas were amazing. Deer everywhere. We drove around the lake but were unsure of good places to put kayaks in or swim, and we were okay with that. You can not go wrong with this house.

I wish I could upload some of my photos as this is one of those properties that is actually better in person than the photo's they have posted. The outdoor areas were great, the indoor space was perfect for our family. We had our oldest daughter, her husband and new baby, teenage daughter and her boyfriend, the loft rooms were perfect for them and my wife and I. Just had a wonderful time and would stay there again for sure.

This home has it ALL! It's spacious, luxurious, great for families. The views are awesome and you've got so much privacy. The beds are SO comfy and you can't really hear anything between rooms so you'll sleep soundly even if others are still up. We loved sipping coffee on the back deck and watching the deer stroll through just after sunrise. My family was so sad to leave but we're excited to return again in the future.

From the moment you pull up, you are taken back into time with the antique cabin feel. Upon entering, you are welcomed by a scenic wrap-around view of the exquisite natural surroundings. Daily, we encountered deer, cardinals, coyotes, and foxes. The rustling sounds of the trees provided a relaxing ambiance. We made smores by the campfire and cooked out daily. Everything about this house is what we expected and more. The most important takeaway from this trip is the everlasting memories we created. I highly recommend this house.

We had a lovely stay !! Lots of space outdoors for kids to play and saw deer/wildlife almost every day. My only 1 suggestion is to fix the dishwasher as it would always leave residue on the plates.

Great place and very thoughtful with the fans on the upstairs rooms, because it gets very hot if you have the heater on during the winter. We brought our own firewood, but they did provide us with wood for the fire pit. It was awesome!

Although we visited during winter this was exactly what we wanted. A nice remote place that made us feel we had a getaway. The house was beautiful with a gorgeous view! There was plenty of space outdoors to go on a hike and to see the deer walking around. Our kids loved it!

This home is absolutely stunning. It has a small view of the water but a beautiful view of the forest. It feels like a magical space. The deer come right up to the patio, the fox makes daily visits and the wildflowers are magical. The home itself is sparkling clean, spacious, and exactly as pictured. It is a lovely space. I have stayed in many AirBnB's and this one has been thoughtfully stocked and labeled. Check-in/out was easy. Finding the location was simple. The surrounding area felt safe and very well kept. HIGHLY recommend! I stayed there with six other women on a retreat and we all loved the home!

We had a wonderful time at the Magnolia Haus and I know we will visit again. The house is beautiful and comfortable. We loved the big windows, decor and floor plan. My teenagers loved the private loft rooms which are accessible by very steep ladders appropriate for older kids or agile adults only. The surrounding neighborhood is nothing special, but it does not detract from this gem. The setting is very quiet and secluded. We saw plenty of deer, foxes, and even wild turkeys during our stay. Lake access is a short drive away. There is also a lovely Brookshire Brothers supermarket nearby. My only suggestions for improvement would be new sheets for the master bedroom; the top sheet had permanent stains that looked like mold. The dishwasher also needed a good cleaning. There was a thick film on the bottom even after running it. At a minimum, the drain/filter probably needed to be cleaned out. The Calphalon cooking pots are also due for replacement; the coatings were well worn/scratched. Otherwise, we loved everything about our stay.

We absolutely loved this property. The location of the house on the property with the large expanses of glass felt to us like we were staying in a treehouse surrounded by beautiful nature and wildlife. In fact, it seemed that the edge of the backyard was a part of a larger wilderness trail with deer, fox, armadillo, etc. passing through on a regular basis. We loved it!

Such a great place! Communication was excellent with the management company! We wanted to and tried to extend our stay! Great, quiet, private location! We saw deer daily and even a bobcat! We were two families of four - 4 kids and 4 adults. Make sure kids are old enough to climb steep stairs. The separate lofts add some great extra sleeping space, but very steep steps. Our kids (10-12) handled them just fine. Master is beautiful! Bring foil, baggies, extra paper towels, and trash bags. You are provided with one set. Also no Keurig, so bring your favorite drip coffee!! We sat outside by the fire pit nightly and made amazing fires! And kids roasted smores nightly! A great, memorable short vaca with best friends!

This house was perfect! Impeccably clean. Actually slept 10 on great beds. amazing attention to detail and everything was very easy to figure out. Had a bit of luxury on our weekend trip and it was just so nice to have pots pans shower supplies and everything on hand. Loved the decor and overall vibe. Couldn't quite figure the TVs out but didn't really need them. Played loads of board games and chatted on the porch. GREAT STAY!

This was our second stay at Magnolia Haus for a girls' weekend, and it was once again stellar. The house itself is so beautiful and makes great use of the space. We especially enjoyed watching deer on slow mornings with a cup of coffee under the comfy blankets on the living room couches. Beautifully crafted full of windows on the lake. Comfortable furniture. The lofts were too small for the claustrophobic, but clean and cozy. The master bedroom far exceeded the 2nd bedroom and two lofts so someone needs to pay extra if two couples stay. Pretty rural but worth the drive.

We drove out to Canyon Lake from Dallas just to get away for a while before Thanksgiving. The home is absolutely beautiful, exactly what you see in the pictures. They have all the cookware and utensils you need to cook your entire say. The home is beautifully decorated, and the outdoor living spaces are phenomenal. Our favorite part of the home was the massive sliding patio doors and the wrap-around windows. We lucked out and were staying there when the weather was absolutely perfect (60/70s) and mosquitos were all dead, so we were able to stay inside and watch football, but leave the doors open and listen/watch the deer roaming around the backyard. Fire pit was fun for Smores (bring your own firewood, they don't supply that), and the grill worked perfectly for grilling. The management company was super attentive and always kind and helpful. We will definitely be looking for a time next spring when we can return and enjoy the stay again. The only thing I would recommend for the homeowners if they wanted to upgrade anything would be the pillows and bed linens. When we stayed it was perfect weather, and the home was always in the 70s, but all 3 of our sons told us that they were a little chilly at night and needed a heavier blanket. They also complained of the pillows being a little on the too-soft/lumpy side. I would agree, but we are all also used to Tempurpedic, so it was just a minor adjustment for us. I would recommend bringing your own pillow and maybe some extra blanket if you are used to having heavier linens/blankets/firmer pillows. But, that is literally the only advice I could give the owners to make our stay more comfortable. The home is absolutely stunning, it has everything you need to get away, and it is very secluded and quiet and has a view of the lake from the backyard. It is very hard to find a home this beautiful, this secluded, and on the lake for the price (I know because we look for homes with beautiful views/lake properties a lot). We would like to say thank you to the owners for offering up such a beautiful home for others to enjoy. It was a perfect stay for us. We hope that otters are able to enjoy this home as we did.

Stayed for two nights with a group of 7 guests for a girls weekend, and this was the perfect house for our group. The house was beautiful and comfortable. Great open kitchen/living/outdoor area. We saw several deer and a fox during our stay. 30-minute drive to Gruene where we went to eat lunch at The Gristmill, listen to music at Gruene Hall, and walk around the shops. However, most of our time was spent at the house, and it was a great place to relax and hang out with friends.

Stayed with a group of 7 guests total. The property was even better than we imagined. The lake was walking distance and we saw several deer during our stay which was a real treat for everyone. The huge windows really bring the outdoors in as well for folks that like to enjoy nature from a gentle distance : ). The ladders to the upstairs bedrooms are basically vertical so keep that in mind for anyone that might have trouble with a climb. We were all adults and it felt so fun to be together and enjoy those luxury glamp-like vibes. Would definitely stay again!

This is a perfect place for us to stay on the lake. We were able to launch our boat in the neighborhood which is so convenient. The house decor was adorable.

From the moment we walked in we fell in love with this home and property. I really felt as if this home was so inviting, and the decor was exquisite. The home is set up with an open concept, lots of lighting in the living, and a kitchen. Love the beauty of floor-to-ceiling windows. The view of the lake is perfect along with the deer in every direction. The master suite is gorgeous. The walk-in shower is amazing. Our family loved the lofts, and the craftsmen ship of the home and furniture was beautiful. We will definitely be back with our friends. Can't wait to wow them with this place.

A House Like No Other!!!

This place was beautiful! I took my husband here for a surprise getaway for his birthday and it did not disappoint! The house is stunning. Every time we turned around we would find something so unique and different. You can tell the owners put a lot of time into building this home! The entire backside of the house is a window! The living room and master walls open up to the back deck. It was beautiful scenery to wake up to every morning. The property is amazing too. We were able to walk the back of the property down to the lake and fish! Hanging out by the fire in the evenings was so relaxing. We will definitely be coming back, but next time we will bring the kids because they will love the cool lofts and all the deer! Thanks, Magnolia Haus for the experience!
