We had a absolutely fantastic 495 days day in the Braun Rio house. We love this place. This is the second year in a row that we have gone out here and stayed and we will probably go back again next year. It is a gorgeous place right on the Guadalupe river and in an excellent location. We highly recommend that you go stay at this place. Vacay did a great job helping us and answering any question that we had about our accommodations.

Baby shower

I had my daughter and daughter in laws for a quiet weekend babyshower. My daughter needed some TLC! It was lovely. We slept so well. We sat by the water and saw a deer run through the river then a hawk with a fish in its talons! The birds sang while we had coffee and visited in the morning: it was great! It was good energy for our new little one coming into the world! Well stocked kitchen. Beds were soft. Clean. It was wonderful.

Family getaway on the river!

The Braun Rio is wonderful! The photos do not do it justice to being there in person. Family had a great and memorable trip on the river. Beds were so comfortable, kitchen had all the dish ware you could need, having 3 bathrooms was a major convenience, and the direct access to the river in the back yard was the best part! We were able to bbq some hamburgers and hotdogs while still enjoying the water! We will definitely book again at Braun Rio.

My family and I loved this house. The property is just beautiful. Very private. Great access to the River . Lots of different spaces outside to hang out. The inside of the house was great. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. This is a house we plan on coming back to again and again!

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home not 50 yards from Guadalupe River! We enjoyed sitting outside on one of the two balconies at this home, watching the wildlife. We saw turkey, deer, and lots of different birds...it was a nice and peaceful getaway!

Braun Rio is a wonderfully peaceful place to spend a few days. Just sitting on the deck outside listening to the gurgling of the river stream by and the goats bleating from a nearby farm is enough! But, there are many amazing restaurants to try and towns to visit. The house is well equipped with everything needed to cook meals. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms conveniently located. Our stay was perfect in every way!

This was our 3rd year in a row to do a memorial weekend trip. This house by far was our favorite we have stayed in. It?s perfect for a small group and right on the water. The ladies through the rental service were so helpful and accommodating as well. We will definitely be back.

10/10 recommend!! Water level behind the house was a little low but if you walk down about 20 feet or so its perfect to tie off and relax. We didn't take kids but it was nice to see they provided games for kids. Cant wait to go back!! Water shoes are a must!!

The only things that wasn't good was the fans upstairs and the master bedroom made noise wasn't a good thing at the time for sleep. Also I think the outside needs to be cleaned as well.

We loved this house! It was in the perfect location. We were able to jump off our floats after floating and Little Ponderosa Tubing Outfitters will even come pick up the tubes. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable.

Great house. Big yard. Fun patio. Easy access to river from the backyard. We were able to float the river all the way to our house and get out of the water right in our own backyard. House was clean and had plenty of supplies.

Great location

We loved our stay very much. Was a bit disappointed that the kitchen window must have a seal broken or something between the panes. It needs to be replaced and the distorts the view from the inside. The seat cushions on the porch need replacing. The outside wooden furniture and swing were ideal and very comfortable. Shower head in master bath was amazing........great water pressure! Overall, the house was great! That part of the guadalupe is more quiet which was perfect for us!

Great place right on the river

Overall the house was great! Great location right on the river. The beds were not the most comfortable. They did have everything there you would need in the kitchen. Nice that they had a BBQ pit. It was a little too cold to go in the water but we had a relaxing vacation with some views!

awesome location! The place was better than I expected. The cooking situation was great and I was glad I booked this place. Only thing nobody seems to mention is how the house creaks at night when it's windy. If you are a light sleeper like I am it will be a bit difficult to stay sleeping with the house creaking all night long. It's a beautiful wooden house and it was a minor inconvenience nonetheless. I highly recommend this place!

Lovely location on the river and ideal for families with small children. Its perfect for setting down your chairs and coolers and relaxing. House is well maintained, has great character, and perfect for two families. The adults took the bedrooms downstairs while the kids slept in the loft upstairs. Everyone loved it. From a couple of seasoned Texansthis is the best spot weve ever stayed on the Guadalupe River. If youre looking for a quiet and peaceful location, this is it. The back deck and the stone patio make outdoor living easy, which is good because youll hardly ever want to be inside with the views this place has to offer. Almost directly behind the house is the perfect spot in the river with some mini rapids where you can set your low camping chairs + ice chest and sit waist deep in the water for hours. Neighboring houses/river patios are far enough away that even if there were other people on the water at the same time, youd have plenty of space to spread out. (And we pretty much had the river to ourselves during our entire stay.) Because its a quiet stretch of river and theres no house across from this one, there was plenty of wildlife. All day long we watched hawks swooping overhead, deer crossing the river right in front of us, wild turkeys coming down for a drink, and more. We cooked every meal possible outside on the grill, and the kitchen is incredibly well stockedcoffee maker and a Keurig, all the pots and pans you could need, spices and seasonings, cutting boards, mixing bowls, etc. The back deck has lights, but theres no lighting down on the stone patio, so bring some solar lanterns if you want to sit on the patio late into the nightwhich youll definitely want to do. We look forward to returning many times to this place.

Comfortable and accommodating

Over all we found the property to be what we expected. My only complaint would be that neither shower head in the Master Bath work and seemed to be stopped up with calcium deposits. Would be a easy fix by replacing the heads. We just didn't want to wait around for a repairman when had had things to do, so we used the 3rd bathroom shower. Beds were very comfortable, and the place is right on the river, though only ankle deep at this part of the river.

If you are looking for a peaceful weekend getaway this is it! The Braun Rio House is lovely, clean, comfortable, with incredible views. We spent the weekend with 5 adults, and 2 kids and the space was just right. The outdoor space is amazing. The deer came right down to the river, and there were so many different species of birds. We brought our fishing kayaks and fished up and down the river, plus waders and walked and fly fished the river directly from the yard access. The river in front of the house was very shallow and we could easily walk all the way across. We loved the house and river so much that we didnt want to leave to go out to eat so opted to cook all of our meals in the well appointed kitchen. We are already planning our next trip and would definitely stay here time and time again.

My wife, son, daughter and a few friends of the kids stayed for a very relaxing stay @ The Braun Rio. The beds downstairs were super comfortable. Perfect spot with direct access to the river - simply gorgeous. I few hit or miss showers never interrupted the fun. Floating, grilling, card games and lots of laughter. Really recharged the old batteries. The house is spacious, clean, well appointed; and short of a chirping smoke alarm (easily remedied), everything was perfect. We will definitely be back, you cannot beat the location and the beautiful river view and access.

This place is very relaxing and the perfect place for a get away! This was our first trip away from our babies and it couldn't have been more perfect! Right on the river, the house was great. Do yourself a favor and book a trip here!

If youre looking to get away from the city and enjoy the beautiful views that New Braunfels has to offer than this is the place for you. The home is just big enough to give everyone ample space but yet cozy enough to truly make great memories. The views are gorgeous, easy to find, fully equipped with all you need and the place is super clean.
