Fabulous River House

This house has plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the river. One small glitch with the gas grill, but the host was very responsive and rectified the situation quickly. At first glance, the stairs to the river look intimidating, but we made it up and down easily with our tubes and cooler. The deck has plenty of shade from the trees and numerous seating options. We used the dining room table inside for card games. It was an amazing week.

The property was clean and well stocked. All appliances working order. We were 3 couples gathering for a weekend wedding. We had plenty of room and took advantage of the beautiful back deck to dine Al fresco one evening, as well as morning coffee. We will definitely consider this property should we return to this area

We’ve stayed in many places along the Guadalupe and this was one of our favorite areas. The house was nice and clean. Very impressed by how much hot water we had for showers. Location on the river was fantastic. We brought paddle boards and it was perfect for paddling. Tubing spots are very close by as well as local food spots. Would book again…

This house has it all. A private location on the river. The dock is perfect to putting in tubes or fishing. We jumped off the dock and made amazing memories. Our family of 11 fit perfectly. We can't wait to come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maverick's River Haus! My mom was able to go out onto the upper part of the deck using her electric wheelchair! She loved sitting on the deck and watching the river. What a blessing it was to have a place where we could all enjoy the river without my mom having to climb stairs. Thank you for sharing this place -- we definitely want to return.

My best friend of 30+ years and her family stayed with my family for the New Years weekend. We had a blast! The property is lovely! My only 2 suggestions 1) fix the hall bathroom door. Two of our people got locked in at different times throughout the weekend 2) put a gas patio heater on the back porch for cold weather (especially during a fire ban). We loved it! Would definitely go back!

Great Place for a quite getaway

Took some friends and a group of teenagers for a quick little get away. Property was perfect for our trip. The one thing I would say is the water in the river is so COLD!!! It was impossible to swim and it was Aug in Texas. Other than that it was a perfect spot.

Quiet place on the river

The house was nice and tidy. It wasn't over decorated so there was plenty of room for us to move in with all our stuff for the vacation. The lighting on the porch ensured someone was always outside soaking up nature. The dock was perfect for launching kayaks. The kitchen was well stocked. There was just enough towels. The teen kids slept in the camp style bunk room. All crammed in, exactly what they wanted. Our bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Both of us stated it was the only time we have traveled anywhere and slept easily the first night. All in all a very nice place to spend a relaxing week.

This is a wonderful place to stay! The houses are both comfortable and well-stocked, and very clean. The river is absolutely beautiful, and kayaking and fishing are super fun. (The kayaks are an extra daily charge to rent, they do not come with the place.) Be aware: the river is COLD! It's about 60 degrees. (Maybe because it comes from the bottom of the dam at Canyon Lake?) We were not able to swim much, due to the cold water, although we did float in tubes. This is a great place for a large family gathering. We had 12 family member and it was perfect! We also enjoyed the games that are provided.

Guadalupe Getaway

This beautiful home was so comfy and accommodated our party of 10 with room to spare. We loved the easy access and view of the river. Convenient to everything but still felt secluded and very private. Enjoyed the cardinals, fireflies, armadillo and fox sightings. We caught a rainbow trout fishing from the dock, loved tubing, and our swim at Cnayon Lake. We will be back!

We had two families traveling together with our young-adult kids. This place accommodated all 9 of us comfortably. The house was nice and clean. The river view was beautiful, and the guys enjoyed it for fishing. The location was perfect. We boated at Canyon Lake twice, and went into Gruene. Sky Run was very responsive to all questions we had. They were very accommodating. We would stay again!

Beautiful property with the Guadalupe River in the backyard. House was clean, kitchen well stocked but 6 of us rented for 6 days and there was only 3 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of used paper towels. I would recommend keeping stock for those items. Also, the listing includes and ironing board but there was NOT one in theHouse. Important item for travelers especially because we rented for a wedding.

Great River House

Overall, a great spot for enjoying the river and local attractions. Right down the road from Whitewater Sports and Amphitheater. We had a group of 12 and slept everyone just fine in bed and couches...though we're not picky. The rental was clean and had everything we needed. The back deck is a great spot to relax after braving the chilly waters of the river. Great property, overall.

Beautiful place

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property right on the river. The house was clean and spacious and my entire family enjoyed it. It has great access to the river. Yes, the water is cold, but the air temps were 100+ and we still enjoyed it. We paddled the 1/4 mile up the river to the spill way and enjoyed playing in the faster moving water. The property manager was very helpful with check in instructions and they were quick to answer when we had a question.

Very spacious and accessible to the Whitewater amphitheater and tubing. It was a short Uber ride to the concert. We loved being able to tie our tubes to the dock and hangout carefree.

Great property but location was not best

Property is as listed. Very responsive management company. Everything about the house itself was awesome. The river was very cold. It was too cold to have feet in for extended period, never mind floating; youd need a special raft to keep out of the water. Also, no walkability made me think Gruene would have been a better choice. But house itself was great as expected and if youre willing to drive, good attractions nearby.

Grandchildren Loved It

Property was located right on a quiet section of the river. Water was calm enough for kayaking and fishing. Even though the water is very cold at that point, some of our group went swimming. Location is convenient to Canyon Lake, Gruene, Schliterbahn, and the Comal river where we all went tubing. The house is very nice and had a dining table that seated our group of 11. We would stay again.

This is THE most beautiful location. So quiet and peaceful, especially being right by the water. We had a very large group of women stay for a hen party and we were all very comfortable with plenty of space. We fell in love with the patio and have already planned to return when its warm enough to swim. 10/10 recommend!!!!

Big house right on the river lots of fun!

My fishing buddies and I met here for the last release of trout for the season. This house was comfortable and spacious. We made use of the full kitchen cooking breakfast and making coffee every day before we went out fly-fishing. We came home every day and were able to relax and catch up with each other. I would come back and do it again.

Pure Awareness!!

Everything about the house was awesome. My family truly enjoyed every part of the house. The weather was nice so we got to enjoy that backyard. It was nice cooking on the grill while looking out into the river. The house is well stocked and you never feel like you're missing anything. Thank so much for an awesome experience we'll be back for sure!!

We enjoyed our stay at this amazing and clean house! It was a big hit for all 8 of us. The view and nature was definitely what we needed to get away from city life. Pictures really dont do justice for this property. Its extremely quiet and peaceful out there. We loved being away from the world. This is definitely the place if youre looking for a relaxing trip! Our favorite part was sun setting so we could turn on the lights on the back porch. Beautiful.

We absolutely loved Maverick's Haus! My brother, parents, husband and kids all enjoyed a stress-free weekend, thanks to the stunning views, comfort and thoughtful touches and amenities. We all have busy lives and have very little time to spend with each other so we really appreciate when a property has everything we need and then some. We had no problems accessing the property, the communication was perfect, everything was clean and beautiful and we were truly able to relax. We arrived on a Friday night.

Some girlfriends and I rented this house for a weekend and loved it. It's a very spacious place, with comfortable couches for lounging & socializing with a large group. And the location on the river is fantastic. I spent many hours relaxing in the water while others were off doing other things, and I only saw 5 other human beings the whole time. It was so peaceful. We enjoyed dinner at Granny D's, a restaurant less than 5 minutes away.

Our family really enjoyed the space! It was clean, plenty of room for all of us and very comfortable! We prepared meals and found everything we needed. We ended up with a kiddie pool for the kids because the river was so cold but had a great time! Next time will bring a canoe or kayak for the river!

Peaceful, Super-Comfortable and Ultra-Relaxing

Our family stayed at Mavericks River Haus, 2 adults and 2 teenagers and we had a wonderful time. The home has everything you need and is incredibly quiet, relaxing and spacious. I cant remember sleeping in as late as we did each day. The beds are super comfy.The view from the backyard is beautiful and jumping in the water is refreshing. Being on the water, it seemed to bring the overall outdoor temperature down. What I enjoyed the most was sitting on the dock with my family at night gazing at the moon.

We had a great time! Great location ! The house was spacious and had everything you needed. Comfortable beds and comfortable couch with plenty of seating on the patio. Nicely decorated as well. Check in was easy as well. Ive stayed at multiple cabins and river houses but this was by far the best. We will be back!

We had a great time at this vacation house. Very cute and very clean--great place to relax on the Guadalupe. Great location on the water. I liked the sleeping spaces and the kids loved the bunk room. Had a nice guest house on the property for extra space. We ate at Granny D's for breakfast one morning--so much good food for low prices and we ate at Horseshoe Grill for lunch- I recommend the burgers! Had a great time enjoying family--we will definitely be back to this sweet little spot!

Terrific Girls Getaway House

Great time. Great place. Our group of girlfriends (6) get together every other year for a little getaway. This house was terrific. We got in a float, a shopping trip to New Braunfels, and lots of lazy hours visiting on the porch overlooking the peaceful waters of the Guadalupe. The water here is nice and crisp and Im SO glad we brought our floats. We just tied off on a tree and lazed in the river for hours!

First time staying on the Guadalupe....won't be my last. Love the color of the water and enjoyed swimming in it.....especially since we're hitting 100 degrees. House was decorated nicely and we enjoyed heading over to Fredericksburg. Hope to come back.

Mellow Guadalupe River location!

I've stayed in my fair share of Guadalupe River houses over the years, and this one was surprisingly welcoming! The house isn't flashy, but well-kept and the furniture appears to be new and rather stylish...not just some old stuff thrown into a river house. Along lots of places along the Guadalupe you have to contend with the drunk toobers, but this place is serene and the water is crisp and refreshing..great for swimming. We enjoyed grilling on the deck out back. King beds for all the adults! YAY!

Really cool place!

Had no idea the Guadalupe River was this quiet. Loved the massive trees shading the deck and shore. I love kayaking and this is the best place to kayak the slow moving quiet water. Kayaked down past the Horseshoe and got out at one of the crossings. My kids loved jumping in the water and hanging out on the deck. My folks stayed in the guest house (just 50 feet away) and they enjoyed their own space. We grilled out almost every night. All the furniture looked brand new and I believe the owners just remodeled.
